Aljana Guest House is a beautiful seven-bedroom guesthouse with a pool located in Beja, a laid-back town in the heart of Alentejo.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
Elisabeth Lincot's installation, Lagrima de Loros, graces an exterior hearth at Vermelho with glazed and colourful ceramic bird heads.

At Aljana, sustainability is at the forefront with eco-friendly practices such as selective waste collection, solar water heating, LED lighting, amenities in reusable bottles, and the promotion of towel reuse to reduce water waste.
In the morning, breakfast is mainly prepared with organic ingredients from the owner's family farm.
