Tucked away in a peaceful square in the heart of Lisbon, Hotel das Amoreiras is a boutique hotel that exudes the warmth of a countryside home with an international twist.

Pedro Oliveira and his wife Alicia Valero passionately transformed the neglected buildings into a "small grand hotel," featuring fine materials such as Portuguese marble for the bathrooms, velvet, and wood.

The hotel has 17 rooms, each boasting personally selected works of art and views of the verdant gardens of Amoreiras, the Águas Livres Aqueduct, and the historical building of the Mãe D’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir.

Additionally, the hotel's breakfast is sourced from small, family-owned local producers.

We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
