Casas da Quinta de Cima
Casas da Quinta de Cima is a boutique hotel surrounded by fragrant orange groves, located in the unspoilt Algarve.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
Elisabeth Lincot's installation, Lagrima de Loros, graces an exterior hearth at Vermelho with glazed and colourful ceramic bird heads.
Set on a 50-hectare century-old estate, Casas da Quinta de Cima is a boutique hotel located in the unspoilt Eastern Algarve. It’s surrounded by fragrant orange trees and wildflower meadows, and it’s just a short walk from the lovely beach of Cacela Velha.
The hotel preserved the original layout of the Algarve 'monte' (farm estate), featuring ‘workers’ cottages’ that have been transformed into spacious suites, each with a living room, kitchenette, and a bathroom with both a generous shower and stand-alone tub. Other highlights include underfloor heating, high ceilings lined with wicker, the use of traditional materials such as terracotta, wood, and marble, plus a touch of beautiful vintage decor.
There’s a communal stone swimming pool with sun loungers amidst the blossom-filled gardens, extending into a landscape of fruit trees. This is a place to unwind, slow down, and immerse yourself in nature.
In addition to the suites, there’s also a two-bedroom house, perfect for those with children. The house is situated a short distance from the main buildings, and it includes breakfast delivered every morning and daily cleaning services. It provides complete privacy, featuring its own swimming pool surrounded by avocado and carob trees, and is also pet-friendly.
