We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
Elisabeth Lincot's installation, Lagrima de Loros, graces an exterior hearth at Vermelho with glazed and colourful ceramic bird heads.
Casa das Arribas is perched on the cliffs just outside the picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar in Sintra, offering an unbeatable view of the coast from Cabo de Roca to Ericeira.
Initially built in the 1940s as a family estate by renowned Portuguese architect Raul Lino, Casa das Arribas now comprises seven one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens. Each apartment has been renovated to modern standards while retaining the original essence and charm of the property.
The vast 10,000-square-meter garden features a swimming pool, yoga studio, tennis court, a spa, a BBQ area and numerous sitting areas with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Casa das Arribas is also just a short walk away from a hidden beach, and the charming village of Azenhas do Mar.
