Village by BOA
Village by BOA’s 40 serviced apartments span five beautifully restored buildings in a historic neighbourhood of Porto.
The Japandi-influenced furniture, which comprises simple yet high-quality designs in soothing colours such as pastels and earth tones, was exclusively crafted and produced in Portugal.
Within the courtyard that links the buildings, visitors can observe a collection of pots from Mafra, which are more than 300 years old, and a three-meter-tall metal sculpture that resembles a tree, created by renowned international artist Zadok Ben-David.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
Elisabeth Lincot's installation, Lagrima de Loros, graces an exterior hearth at Vermelho with glazed and colourful ceramic bird heads.
An uninhabited 19th-century neighbourhood has been transformed into 40 accommodation units across five beautifully restored buildings in the iconic Bairro do Silva.
Village by BOA is set in a historic neighbourhood characterised as a 'ilha'. The ilhas (islands) of Porto were originally distinct working-class housing complexes that are thought to have been influenced by British back-to-back terraced houses from the late 18th to early 20th century.
The 40 accommodation options range from 30-85m2, featuring one to two bedrooms. All come equipped with fully furnished kitchens, complimentary toiletries, and daily housekeeping services.
Village by BOA marks the debut project of BOA HOTELS. The architecture firm Pablo Pita collaborated with Heim Balp Architekten to transform the buildings while preserving the neighbourhood's history. Ingrid Aparicio from Bacana Studio crafted the serene interior design, showcasing custom-made Japandi-inspired furniture, natural materials, and a neutral colour scheme.
The hotel's web app is designed to provide a seamless guest experience, enabling guests to manage reservations, book tours, and communicate with the team.
Located atop the Village building is The Space - a penthouse spanning 120m2 that has been created to serve as a venue for hosting exclusive boutique events.
