We adore the transformation of Pink House, a restored vintage barn into design boutique accommodation on São Miguel Island.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.

This family-owned property, which has been passed down through six generations, was once a simple barn. In 2017, the structure underwent a careful transformation, resulting in two distinct, modern guest houses.
Mezzo Atelier spearheaded the architectural project, interiors, and furniture design, incorporating the skills of local artisans to produce custom-made furnishings and objects. The Pink House Azores has since gained recognition, winning the prestigious Architecture Prize "Paulo Gouveia".
Spread across two floors, the main house of Pink House has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps five to seven people, while the 30-square-metre Pink Studio is best suited for couples or small families.
