We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Vermelho. Highlights included the array of Portuguese and French pastries that were brought to your table and the perfectly cooked a-la-carte eggs. Breakfast was delicious but also beautifully arranged, featuring tableware from Vida Dura.
Elisabeth Lincot's installation, Lagrima de Loros, graces an exterior hearth at Vermelho with glazed and colourful ceramic bird heads.
BODE is surrounded by the region’s unique landscape, where houses are carved between massive granite boulders. Located in the Beira Baixa region of Portugal, close to the Spanish border, Monsanto sits on the slope of a steep hill, offering sweeping views over the surrounding valley.
Often referred to as 'the most Portuguese village,' Monsanto provides a historical atmosphere with its narrow, cobblestone streets, ancient stone houses, and panoramic views across the countryside.
