We enjoy heading to Comporta for its slow-living, understated luxury vibe and cool boutique stays. This little wild paradise offers gorgeous pristine white-sand beaches, pine forests, rice fields, ‘beach-shacks’ and horse riding on the sand.

Comporta is located on the Alentejo coast of Portugal, only an hour south of Lisbon (a car is essential), although you’ll feel a world away. It’s perfect for a weekend escape or a long lazy stay.

We have handpicked for you our favourite boutique hotels and villas in Comporta, alongside our top tips on what to do, see and eat (scroll below).
