With the dunes and a magnificent beach as the backdrop, Areias do Seixo is an eco-boutique hotel set in a modernist glass and concrete construction, blending Scandinavian-inspired minimalism with Moroccan styles.
There are 14 romantic rooms in the main building and six self-catering villas, each with an outdoor splash pool and barbecue area. The rooms are all unique, featuring log fireplaces, geothermal heating/cooling systems, bathtubs, rainfall showers and private patios or decks where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets or look up and wait for the arrival of the stars.
Areias do Seixo is a place to dump your bags, pause and savour every moment. The idea is that you will be so relaxed that even a walk to the beach will seem like an effort, though it’s just a few hundred meters away.
Awesomeness
Breakfast is a decadent buffet of delicious delights, all mostly homemade or sourced locally.
We love the log fireplaces and big bathtubs in the rooms.
The Ayurvedic spa is the perfect place to recharge.
Eco concerns are high, with energy monitoring, eco schemes, photovoltaic solar panels, recycling, composting and more.
Bear in mind
This is most definitely a place for couples, and with poems and hearts on the walls, the hotel might be “too cute” for some. Embrace the romanticism, and you will love it.
No room service, nor minibar. TVs are available on request.
No AC. The hotel uses geothermal energy, to heat and cool the floors but fans are available on request.

Do not expect much action or nightlife nearby.
